I look back at my residency year at Grace New Hope with joy and gratitude at what the Lord accomplished through me as he grew my devotion to him and expanded my giftings. If God is calling you to this opportunity, say yes and sit back…He’ll take care of the rest!

Lee Lopez

I am the Lead Pastor at Grace Lanier. I had the privilege of working with Randy and Anita for over 5 years. One of the things that I learned in doing ministry with them is that more things are caught than taught. As I lead in my current role I am often reminded of experiences that shape my leadership today, things like the intentionality that Randy and Anita have with their leaders. They lead with grace and provide real leadership opportunities for others to grow in. If you are looking to grow in your faith, leadership, and see real life ministry.

“Take it from me, there is not another dynamic couple in ministry that you can learn more from on how to become a great leader in every area of life. I got to sit under their training in my developmental twenties and I can’t tell you how many times now as a pastor, husband, father, and community leader I’ve gone back to what I learned from the Rainwater’s. It TRULY will change your life!”

As a former Grace New Hope mid-career resident, I'm a product of Randy and Anita Rainwater's 30-plus-years of discovering, developing and discipling both students and adults. With winsomeness, laughter and a deep commitment and love for Jesus, Randy and Anita model what it means to be strong and courageous, to always trust in the Lord and His Word, and to love others well. *Multiple-Emmy-Award winning Journalist

Randy was one of the first and most influential leaders in my life when I was in high school. He believed in me, even when I didn’t want to believe in myself. 25 years later I still recall memories made, lessons learned, and leadership principles that I apply to my life now. Brad and Amy

Amy and I first met Randy and Anita 33 years ago, when they served as youth ministers while we were in Middle School. They poured into us, leading by example through difficult developmental years. Somehow, they genuinely liked us in all of our youthful awkwardness. The stories are endless…the yellow submarine, trips to AtlantaFest, Gatlinburg, Saint Augustine, even canoeing and tubing the springwater rivers of Florida. They made singing and dancing to cheesy songs, cool. We sang about Pharoah Pharoah, then the future - all while moving our arms like lawn sprinklers, which made us feel vulnerable and empowered at the same time, because we were doing it together. They spoke to us and we were the most important people in their world, in that moment. They mentored us through countless hours of concerts, games, lock-ins, youth camps, and worship. They made us feel valued and important. More than that, they showed us how important we are to Christ.
They still embrace adventure, love each other, laugh through life and lead relationally and wholeheartedly.
Over three decades later and a lifetime of experiences behind us, and we consider them some of the most impactful leaders in our lives. We love them dearly, and always will!

Come join in on the adventure!
